It was very nice to speak to you this morning. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I have been away on holiday.
You are very welcome to translate the book from English to Japanese, though please take note of the followng points:
1] BTCV must be acknowledged as the copyright owner of the content (intellectual property).
2] The BTCV "health and safety disclaimer" must be repeated.
3] If you need high resolution images (eps drawings or TIF photographs) from the book, a loan fee of GBP£50 will be payable.
4] If the Japanese translation is sold for profit, BTCV will seek either a royalty payment per book sold, or a one off fee for a fixed length print run, by negotiation.
5] Any use of the BTCV logo for marketing or cover designs must be approved by myself before publishing.
6] This agreement only covers rights to translate the book for printed purposes, not electronic.
