第三世界（だいさんせかい、英: Third World、仏: Tiers monde）は、アジア、アフリカ、ラテンアメリカなどの発展途上国の総称。

冷戦期に東西両陣営いずれにも属さなかった国々を、フランス革命時の第三身分（貴族、聖職者に対する平民）になぞらえてこう呼ぶようになった。主にアジア、アフリカ、ラテンアメリカなどの発展途上国を表すものである。ヨーロッパでは、米ソに中立的なユーゴスラビアが第三世界の国といわれたこともある。永世中立国であるが発展途上国ではないスイスやオーストリアは含まない。

西インド諸島マルチニーク島出身の作家にして精神科医フランツ・ファノン（Frantz Omar Fanon）が命名した、と一般的には言われているが、フランス革命時の政治家エマニュエル・ジョゼフの｢第三身分とはなにか｣というパンフレットに影響されたフランス人口学者のアルフレッド・ゾーヴィーの｢三つの世界、一つの地球｣で第三世界の表現を完成させたものである。

なぜフランツ・ファノンのほうが有名であるかと言うと、ゾーヴィーが作り上げていたが、実際に書籍に登場するのが初版ではなく第二版であるためである。

第三世界という概念を前提にして、第一世界と第二世界という考えが生まれた。

東西陣営を分割する分類 [編集]

     第一世界     第二世界     第三世界

第一世界

第一世界は資本主義陣営としての西側諸国を指し、西欧･米国･日本・オーストラリアなどが含まれる。

第二世界

第二世界は共産主義陣営としての東側諸国を指し、東欧・ソ連などが含まれる。

超大国を第一世界とする分類 [編集]

毛沢東は以下の分類を提唱した。

第一世界

第一世界は超大国であるアメリカ合衆国とソビエト連邦で構成される。

第二世界

第二世界は第一世界の同盟国を指し、西欧・東欧・日本・オーストラリアなどが含まれる。

We were born by a river! Or star children?


We were born by a river rather than we are the world!
私たちが世界というよりも、私たちは川のそばで生まれた！

パリ：セーヌ川、ロンドン：テムズ川、ニューヨーク：ハドソン川、
東京：江戸川、隅田川、多摩川、ソウル：漢川（ハンガン）、北京：長江、、、
エジプト：ナイル河、メソポタミア：チグリス河、ユーフラテス河、
インド：インダス河、ガンジス河、 中国：黄河、
ヨーロッパ：ライン河、ロシア：ヴォルガ河、
南米：アマゾン河、北米：ミシシッピ河、
オーストラリア：？？？、アフリカ：ナイル河、、、
日本人の立場から言えば、「川のそばで生まれた」になります。
だからと言って、「私たちは世界」を否定しているわけではありません。
地球は丸いです。
日本も中国もアメリカも中心ではありません。
宇宙は広いです。
地球も宇宙の中心ではありません。
宇宙の中にたくさんある銀河のひとつの端の方にある太陽系の
なかのひとつの惑星です。
銀河も河か？
やはり、私たちは河のそばで生まれた？

最後の晩餐の結果2050年ころに現れるかもしれない世界：

極楽世界、浄瑠璃世界、桃源郷、

欧州経済圏、北米経済圏、アジア・オセアニア経済圏、
アラブ経済圏、アフリカ経済圏、中南米経済圏

結果：最後の晩餐後の2050年ころに六大驚天地が出現するか？
